(Request a referral)
It is our general policy to want to see our patients prior to actual referral to specialists or for X-rays. Many common conditions maybe easily treated by us, or may require prior tests, or a different specialist than the one requested. Exceptions may be made, but these will occur at the physician's sole discretion.

Some Insurers currently provide a POS electronic system to facilitate the referral process; others however, do not. You may be asked (much to our regret) to come in for the "famous" referral form.

Out of town

We recognize that in this day and age of frequent traveling, one can find him/herself away from the local area. We suggest than whenever possible, you try to contact us by telephone, or at least, call us the next day. We often can facilitate care, call a local pharmacy or triage the problem.
