Yatish M. Patel, MD


I was born in Tanzania, E. Africa, however my family moved to India when I was very young. As a result, I spent my early life in Baroda, a province of India. I graduated from The Baroda Medical College in 1981 and in 1983 I moved to The United States.

I completed a three year residency program in Internal Medicine at The Newton Wellesley Hospital and became the Chief Medical Resident during my last year. Later on, I fulfilled a two year fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston.

Our group has a preferential relationship with The Brigham and Women's Hospital for tertiary care while we remain locally, affiliated with  Beth Israel-Deaconess hospital in Needham and The Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton.  I am fluent in English, Hindi and Guhjarati.

PULMONARY SPECIALTY

 I am board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.  I have a special interest in the treatment of Asthma, Emphysema, Tuberculosis & other lung diseases as well as in Intensive Care medicine.
